Backheel — thirteen daily football games

Backheel is a set of thirteen free daily football puzzles. Every game sets a new puzzle at midnight UTC and everybody gets the same one. Puzzles are drawn from seventeen clubs across the top five European leagues over the ten seasons from 2016-17. No account, no adverts, and your record stays in your browser.

The games

• Who Am I? — A career trail, one club at a time. Guess earlier, score higher.
• Connections — Sixteen players. Four groups. One shared trait each.
• Footy Grid — Nine cells. Each one wants a player who fits both clubs.
• Squad Rush — One club, one season, ninety seconds.
• Scout Report — Guess the player. Every name you try comes back as a scouting comparison.
• Starting XI — One season, eleven names. Rebuild the side that played most.
• Top 10 — Ten ranked names, hidden. The figures are the clue.
• Team-mates — A mystery player, revealed by the company they kept.
• Football Bingo — Nine squares of facts. Players arrive one at a time — place them or let them go.
• Higher or Lower — Two players, one figure showing. Is the other one higher or lower?
• Squad Numbers — One club, one season, ten shirts. Name who wore each.
• Chronology — Five clubs from one career, shuffled. Put them back in order.
• Transfer Trail — A trail of real transfers, fees and all. Name the player who made them.
